Zach Galifianakis Is Back with Between Two Ferns Oscar Specials

"Between Two Ferns" is one of the biggest success stories on Funny or Die.  Starring Zach Galifianakis, whom we would eventually know for The Hangover movies, "Between Two Ferns" launched in January of 2008 with an interview with Michael Cera and became a "must-watch" web series.  He's done a couple every year since then, making guests uncomfortable with inappropriateness.  The last time he did a new show, it was for a Comedy Central special back in April of last year.  Today and yesterday, we saw the launch of new episodes of "Between Two Ferns" featuring Oscar nominees, and they're great.

Between Two Ferns: Oscar Buzz Editions Part 1 and 2

There's a catharsis about these interviews because we hear the same thing over and over about what the experience was like on the set, all the stories, all the "very proper" interview questions.  By this point, everyone knows the "Between Two Ferns" schtick, so it's harder to catch people off-guard with this format, but it doesn't make the questions any less inappropriate or uncomfortable.

Here's part 1, which released yesterday and features Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts, Amy Adams, Anne Hathaway, and a highly buzzed-about appearance from Christoph Waltz that just sells this episode:

And today, we saw Part 2, starring Jessica Chastain, Sally Field, "a surprise actor from Lincoln," and Bradley Cooper, which has a lot of bad language in it, mainly when Galifiankis' Hangover co-star Cooper shows up on the scene:

I'm not sure if this is done, yet.  But these two episodes are awesome.  The Oscars are on Sunday, February 24.
