YouTube Experiments With Personalized HomePage

According to YouTube, they are experimenting with personalized homepages and hope to introduce this new functionality in the coming future. Alongside homepage features that exist today, the experimental personalized homepage will include personalized recommendations, the latest subscription videos and visibility into the activities of friends.

“The goal with all of this is to gauge people’s interest in having a YouTube that’s tailored to the individual. Ultimately, we want to get you one step closer to the videos you’ll enjoy most every time you come to the site. We’re excited to hear your thoughts on the personalized YouTube experience and we welcome your feedback. “

A new personalized homepage layout featuring recommendations, friend activity, and a revised subscription list will be rolled out to “a small group of users chosen at random,” according to the YouTube blog. If anyone gets a hold of a screenshot of this new homepage, please let us know so that we can share with readers.
