If you saw our post from this morning, you will have seen that ComScore presented some great research about the opportunity for mobile and the growth in iPhone market share since the launch of 3G.
It’s day 2 of the Kelsey Group’s ILM:08 conference and we had a great first day.
Aside from the sessions and panels that were extremely informative on the state of interactive local media, we also had the pleasure to interview several folks in the local online video space, including SpotMixer, WellcomeMat, and Mixpo. Today, we are scheduled to conduct interviews with several additional leaders in the online video space including TurnHere, MediaMobz, Jivox, and more… We will be publishing these interviews in the following weeks.

As investment in video-based content and advertising grows, measurement of that video content requires better measurement distinctions than what traditional web ‘page view’ analytics programs can provide. Well, we are at the opening session for the Kelsey Group’s Interactive Local Media conference.. There are 450 attendees and 60 panelists and speakers that will be presenting over the next 3 days.
I found a great presentation yesterday about viral video marketing on slideshare and thought I would share it with you all. Title is “Give Me a Viral Video” and it was given by Josh Warner, the President of Feed Company at Womma in Las Vegas.
VideoEgg today introduced the first performance-based video advertising for the iPhone -AdFrames for mobile. The new offering enables advertisers to distribute invitation-based, expandable video or rich media ads to iPhone users. Nikon and Ubisoft Canada are among the first brands to leverage AdFrames’ mobile distribution as a measurable way to reach highly engaged consumers.
One of the big challenges for video marketers is finding the means to track the browser’s purchasing intent after their initial video experience, and serve them up with targeted video content even when they visit other websites. According to Michael Benedek, VP of the behavioral marketing firm AlmondNet, This “post-search” phase of video advertising and marketing, where 95% of the browser’s activity happens, is “among the hottest and most promising ad-focused areas online.”
Ok, so he isn’t President just yet, but that hasn’t stopped US president-elect Barack Obama from starting change already. Obama has changed the Democrats’ national weekly address and has released it as an online video, search engine optimized and all.
It seems that either Obama’s team either knows what they are doing with online video (IE, has been reading ReelSEO.com ;-) or they just got lucky… Not only are they releasing these the videos on YouTube, AOL, MSN, but they are also making it available on Change.gov as a High-resolution, Quicktime format movie file. I wonder if they have a Video sitemap. In addition, they actually have the correct Title tags, URL convention, etc…
