The Video Web: Browse, Personalize, & Search

Gary Baker, CEO and Founder of ClipBlast!, a popular video search engine, presents at the 2008 Video Search Summit. Gary talks about ClipBlast, as well as the future of video discovery.

As Gary tends to put it, consumers are not strategically searching for video content as much as they want to discover video “whimsically.” One theme that came out of the Video Search Summit was that of the fact that video discovery is much more than search alone. In fact, ClipBlast released an excellent research/survey which illustrates this tendency.

Perhaps the 2009 Video Search Summit will be called the Video Discovery Summit.

The video is quite long, topping 20 minutes, but is well worth watching. Gary is an excellent speaker and will keep you engaged, trust me.
