SES San Jose 2008 starts next week. One of the sessions on Day 1 that will certainly be of interest to many of you will be the one on Video Search Engine Optimization (VSEO).

The following video is somewhat of a sneak preview of the session.  In this video, Byron Gordon of SEO-PR interviews Matthew Scheybeler, the CTO of blinkx.  Matthew is one of the scheduled speakers for this session on Video SEO.  Matthew talks about how to classify a video in its many parts to enable more viewers to find the video of their choice.

However, the average YouTube video receives only 100 views a year. This makes optimizing video for YouTube one of the biggest opportunities in the fast-changing and complex world of search. This session will look at how video search engine optimization (VSEO) has become the most important new use of search engine optimization today.
