Tips For Getting the Most Out of Your Video Production Company
#1 Understand the WHY Before You Talk About the WHAT
The biggest issue that we have with people who come to us is that they want a video but they don't know why they want it. Figure out the Why part first and everything else will follow.
#2 Focus on People First
We get a lot of companies who come to us and it's all about the product or service they want to sell, rather than the product or service that people are looking for. There is no point making a video and then trying to find an audience for it, you need to identify your target audience first. Find out their needs, wants and aspirations, and then make a video that addresses those issues.
#3 Confirm What you Want to Accomplish with the Video
Videos are all about creating awareness around, or about something. Awareness, or visibility is also a good metric to measure your efforts against. Video is also fantastic for establishing your presence and showing that you are authority in a particular industry or vertical. Of course, they can also be used as a tool for selling. When you establish why you are making a commercial film and what questions you are answering, it will be easier to move forward.
If you are looking for a good, solid video production company look for one that:
- Puts people first
- Pulls out the WHY so you can the WHAT
- Help you fit video into your overall marketing strategy
