Are Video Ads On Google A Winning Model?

There is a great article today on SearchEngineLand written by Glenn Pingul of Mixpo.com, the complete online video marketing solution for SMBs. It it titled, "Video Ads On Google: A Win-Win For Consumers & Advertisers?" and offers an interesting perspective on Google's recent announcement regarding the launch of video ads on Google SERPS.  The post offers insight and commentary related to whether or not the addition of video ads into Google's search engine results pages will be effective for advertisers and liked by consumers.

 "So for consumers, the answer is more complex. Go back to the NY Times article and read through the comments and you'll find a debate already stirring on the goodness of video ads. Some comments like: "The day Google launches this is the day I stop using Google" are counter-balanced with comments like: "Google provides a service vital to most people's online lives, and viewing ads during this process is a small price to pay.”
