News – Veoh.com Burns International Users
According to several sources online, including Google blogs, – Veoh.com online video website has started to block out many international companies from viewing their website, with no official notice from the company ahead of time.
Initial reports suggest Veoh is no longer available in the following countries:
- Argentina
- Barbados
- Brazil
- Chile
- Colombia
- Costa Rica
- Croatia
- Cyprus
- Czech Republic
- Dominican Republic
- El Salvador
- Guadeloupe
- Guam
- Guatemala
- Hungary
- Indonesia
- Jamaica
- Lithuania and Egypt
- Luxembourg
- Malaysia
- Malta
- Panama
- Peru
- Puerto Rico
- Romania
- Saudi Arabia
- Slovakia
- Slovenia
- the Cayman Islands,
- Turkey
- Ukraine
- United Arab Emirates
- Venezuela
According to Veoh, they have ended the service in several countries that have a “low concentration” of users and they are maintaiing the service only in countries where they have the highest engagement.
Not sure yet how smart a decision this was. I certainly would have recommended advanced notices as you can see on the Google Blogs, there are a great number of extremely irate, previous Veoh fans and users.
