Second Annual Tube A Thon Back To Raise Funds For Childrens Charity

Web news show What’s Trending raised $25,000+ for homeless charity Covenant House, as well as victims of Hurricane Sandy last year, and they're back to top that. Their 2 hour Tube-A-Thon event is bringing together top YouTubers such as Shay Carl, Freddie Wong, Daily Grace, Mystery Guitar Man, SourceFed and Rooster Teeth as well as other showbiz stars to help give something back to the community. The digital social telethon, created by the Emmy award-winning What's Trending team, will live-stream direct from YouTube Space L.A. on Thursday, December 12 at 6pm PT.

During the show, What's Trending and event sponsor, Ford Fiesta Movement, will donate $1 for every tweet that includes the hashtags #Tubeathon or #FiestaMovement. In 2012, the charity event hit the No. 3 position for Twitter's top trending terms. You can find out more about the event in this trailer:

Covenant House is the largest non-profit agency in the Americas providing shelter, food, support and other services to homeless youngsters. You can subscribe to @What'sTrending and @FordFiesta on Twitter and YouTube.com/WhatsTrending to follow the event in real-time:
