New Truveo Mobile Video Search Site Launched in Beta

AOL has just announced the launch of a beta version of Truveo mobile video search. In addition to the already released iPhone application, users with other mobile devices will have a chance as well to search Truveo’s vast online video index via WAP (Wireless Application Protocol).

“During the past year, Truveo has grown from a single video search site to one of the most comprehensive and wide-reaching video search offerings available,” said Pete Kocks, President of Truveo and Vice President of AOL. “With the beta launch of our new mobile video search site, we’re taking yet another step in expanding our reach and becoming the leading source for video no matter where you are or what device you’re using.”

Users can browse the most popular and top-ranked videos from the Web or search for videos by keyword. Search results can be easily sorted by popularity, ranking, or date to quickly find compelling content.

Truveo Mobile Video Search can be accessed from any RTSP-supported mobile device at http://wap.aol.com/truveo.
