Tremor Media Announces HTML5 Support for Video Ads

Tremor Media announced they're going to begin offering HTML5 support for their video ads, mainly focusing on the iPad and then other mobile platforms. Considering that they reach about 19% of the US population and show around 450 Million ads a month, it's a smart move. They are not the first video ad network to implement HTML5, nor will they be the last as many people begin to see some value in offering video ads to the iPs. That's not to say that there aren't ads available, Apple's own ad solution is coming soon as well.
Tremor's iPad support will leave their HTML5 initiative and then they will focus on other platforms like the iPhone, Android, etc. The HTMl5 support will be offered via the Acudeo platform from Tremor Media. They've also hooked up with Brightcove to make sure that the HTML5 is easily usable in their network. They're trying to make sure that it's fully compatible with their partners as well as with the browsers that support it.
Tremor has stated that their HTML5 support and tracking will extend beyond just standard pre-roll ads and will cover vChoice & vChoice iRoll units that give users the ability to choose the ads they see.
