FeedRoom and Clearspring Video Sharing for Social Networks
It seems that this is Video on Social Networking Month and no one told us. Today The FeedRoom and Clearspring announced a partnership to create expanded video content distribution and bookmarking on their 4.0 Enterprise Video Platform.
The FeedRoom will pull Clearspring's technology into their player and create an easier way for viewers to bookmark and share videos on social networks or bookmarking services as well as blogs and other sites with easy-to-use point-and-click technology. Services will include Digg, del, icio.us, Twitter and Facebook.
FeedRoom EVP 4.0 is Software as a Service (SaaS) and integrates seamlessly with existing content management platforms, network security standards and leading Web analytics tools. The flexible solution supports a variety of highly customizable, lightweight video players and the powerful, easy-to-use FeedRoom Studio publishing interface. It works toward giving companies better control over their brand than simply uploading videos to a YouTube channel, etc. The service also offers digital asset management, workflow management and more. They also offer live video streaming from events and more.
The great thing about this is that you can then, if I understand correctly, track where the videos get shared to and how many times they're being viewed. That's the true power of these new features. You'll know the impact your video has and what social network and bookmarking sites work best for your product and can then work to target them specifically in the future.
