As most of you know, an online video platform provides companies with video hosting and delivery services among various other features and functionality that can vary (analytics, ad networks, HD support, etc…). Many of these online video platforms (and there are just too many right now in my opinion but that is another post entirely) offer an API (Application Programming Interface.) An API exposes the features and functions of a platform thus enabling others to seamlessly integrate core video functionality within their own applications.

I’m pleased to announce to the ReelSEO community the Online Video Platform Summit, a new two-day single track event held in conjuction with the annual Streaming Media West Conference and Exhibition on November 18-19th in San Jose, Calif. The Online Video Platform Summit was born from the success of this year’s Streaming Media East conference in New York City that had a record attendance of 3,733 attendees, up 5% from the 2008 total and the largest number in the Streaming Media conferences 11 year history.

Search Inside Obama Inaugural Speech Video – Delve Search Inside Technology
Delve launched a pretty cool little tool today that they announced on their blog which allows users to search inside the video of President Obama’s Inaugural Speech. To do this, type in your search into the searchbar in the player just above. You will see a heatmap presented on the player with matches. To jump to a portion within the speech, click on the heat map.
