blinkx Partners With Clevver Streaming Video Entertainment Site
blinkx, the world’s largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced a partnership with Clevver (http://www.clevver.com), a Beverly Hills-based streaming video entertainment Web site. Dozens of clips from Clevver TV, the company’s online television series, will be more easily accessible than ever before at http://www.blinkx.com, with more shows being added each month. Under the terms of the agreement, blinkx will leverage its AdHoc platform to place contextually relevant advertising against Clevver’s video, and will share resulting advertising revenue with Clevver.

The following is a recap of the session, titled “Video Search Engine Optimization (VSEO),” from the Search Engine Strategies (SES) conference in San Jose, CA – August 18th, 2008
The big hero of this session was TubeMogul. As you all know, TubeMogul is a service that enables you to syndicate your videos to all of the major video sites. It also provides analytics tools for monitoring performance across each of the syndicated sites. Gregory Markel was the first to mention it (stating several times that he has no financial interest in the company), and several other panelists said that they use it as well. Although Tubemogul is not a tool to optimize video hosted on your own site, it is a strategy for search engine visibility via syndication of video content across multiple popular video sharing websites.

Google Adds Speech Recognition To Video Search
At the Official Google Blog, Google announced the availability of a new speech recognition tool for video search. This tool is limited in that it only searches through a set of political videos however it shows a good preview of things to come. The Google Election Video Search Gadget was released in the form of a gadget that you can embed on your iGoogle homepage. blinkx seems to be doing well financially in that the company just doubled the size of its interactive advertising sales team. According to blinkx, the move was made so as to capitalize on the boom with regard to internet video advertising and the company states that even more hiring will occur.
