Watch Streaming Media West and Online Video Platform Summit Keynotes Live

We're just about to head over to the Streaming Media West conference in San Jose, CA. For the first time in the history of this important conference, everyone will be able to watch parts of the conference live, both here on ReelSEO (below) as well as on Streamingmedia.com, courtesy of livestream.  Coverage will start today with the opening keynote from Bill Stone, president of FLO TV at 12 p.m. EST/9 a.m. PST.

Tomorrow (Wed 11/18), you can watch the keynote for the Online Video Platform Summit, delivered Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Brightcove at 4:45 pm EST/1:45 PST. Jeremy's keynote presentation is titled "Setting the Stage for 2010 and the Future of Online Video" and he will be unveiling some of the new features in Brightcove's BC4 platform as well as discussing general trends within the online video industry.

Tomorrow evening, you can watch the presentation of the 2009 Annual Streaming Media Readers' Choice Awards at 10:30 p.m. EST/7:30 p.m. PST.

Finally, on Thursday, you can watch the keynote from Emil Rensing, chief digital officer of Studio 3 Partners/EPIX at 12 p.m. EST/9 a.m. PST.

I know, kind of ironic that this is the first time that the Streaming Media Conference will be streamed, but better late than never, right?

        I don't know if it was you are someone else on that panel but I was just looking at my notes from PubCon and tried the SubPLY.com transcription service (which is FREE!!!) and it works really well. I have been looking for something like that for years.

          I have a question for you on SubPLY. I can get the transcription service to work great on FLV files that are located on my own server, but I am having no luck on my videos on YouTube, Vimeo or Blip. I am putting in the full flv file path but no worky.

          I contacted SubPLY and it sounded like their developers are too busy to look at the issue. I am guessing sites like Vimeo have block SubPLY IP address or something.

          Are you having luck getting this to work with your videos?

          I have had to work directly with them and was able to via emailing support... I have only done the flvs that are on my server. But here's a tip - download your YouTube FLV and then give them that - then take the srt file and put that back into YouTube.... Im talking to some folks about some additional options.           Thanks for the tip. I have also been emailing back and forth with them today, sounds like I might have found a bug and they are looking in to it, I will let you know what I find out.
