Sorenson Announces New Video Platform Geared to SMBs

360logo Sorenson Announces New Video Platform Geared to SMBsSorenson360 is officially available to the masses today. This new Internet video delivery network is set to make publishing of high-quality video a snap and affordable to boot (so they say). They’re aiming the service at small to medium-sized businesses and are working to differentiate it from the rest of the pack.
Key features in the service that will help it to do that include acceptance of the highest quality video (only Sorenson 360 offers the power, control and quality of client-side encoding) so your videos look good every time. The service is said to be extremely ergonomic and even novices should be able to publish videos quickly and easily, in that vein their pricing is said to be straight forward. Sorenson offers their 14 years of experience as a reason why Sorenson 360 will be a superior service and with their pre-existing loyal fan base they should have a quick build up of users.

The service offers a free trial and monthly packages range from $99 to $299 depending on the number of streams (2,500 to 10,000) with an annual contract. Month-to-month will run you $129-329. They estimate that you can fit around 500 videos in your 10 GB storage if they are up to 5 minute videos with data rates up to 1 Mbps. Videos in the standard packages can only be up to 5 minutes in length,  which is quite short in general when compared to limits at many other video platforms. If you want extra-long videos you have to pay extra-long money for a special account. I guess that’s ’straight forward’ pricing.
