Guest Post – Post your Video Article to ReelSEO
The best form of flattery is imitation, right? With that said, I am copying an idea that my good friends at AltSearchEngines have in motion. Every Thursday, Altsearchengines.com posts an article from a guest author in the video search space.
I love that idea and therefore have decided to let readers know that ReelSEO will be opening its site for guest posts as well. Please use this contact form to let us know if you are interested in posting to ReelSEO.com. Thank you for your participation.
ReelSEO article guidelines
Topics
- All subject material must relate to online video.
- Preferences shall be given to topics that demonstrate a connection with the organic, online marketing space. (This can be the search engines and social media/viral marketing.)
- Preference is given to news-specific articles. Subjects should be relevant to the business needs of our audience.
- Editorials or commentary must include and refer to actual news information as part of their commentary.
- Interviews with individuals must clearly relate to an event piece, professional interest piece, or breaking news relevant to online video and our readership
- If you are unsure of a topic, event, or person to cover, suggest it to ReelSEO first.
Format
- Articles should be properly written, with an intro (summary), body, and closing. They should NOT be stream-of-conscious notes.
- Paragraphs should be within 2-5 sentences. Avoid run-on sentences.
- The first paragraph should be a summary of the topic or event
- Following topics should include key points covered in the summary
- Quotes should be used sparingly, and not make up the bulk of the article. All quotes should clearly identify who they are coming from and in proper context.
Length
Articles should be a minimum of 500 words. Our preference is between 600-1200 words, but longer is ok as well.
Disclosure
- Writers cannot be with the company they are writing about, either as a directly employee, direct partner or PR company. (ReelSEO will be providing a separate area for press releases or sponsored coverage. In addition, the author will receive a bio and links)
- Additionally, authors should not write disparagingly about competitors in the space.
- Exceptions may be considered with advance notice to ReelSEO and our approval, and only with the full disclose by the writer of any past or existing business partnership with whomever they mention in their coverage.
- You must disclose if you are a speaker or exhibitor for an event you are covering.
Credit
Include your full name, your company, contact info, up to 2 links, and any background information within 2 sentences. Credit will be placed at the bottom of the article.
Photos of contributors may be consider for publication along the bottom of an article. Please have your photo in JPG or PNG format, of at least 150 x 150 pixel size and not greater than 400 x 400 size.
