Real Time Social Media Buzz Working for Television Shows

Real time data is one of the hottest new areas in the online ad business – brands and marketers want to know how to harness real-time information and interactions with consumers to make decisions on the fly. Ad.ly is the latest company to attempt this and is having some promising results by pairing brands like Toyota, Kia, American Airlines, Microsoft and others with online celebs.

The company has more than 70,000 so-called influencers in its network including the the Kardashian sisters and the casts of "The Hills" and "Jersey Shore."
