Budweisers Puppy Love Takes Super Bowl Ad Trophy with 1.3m Shares

Budweiser's "Puppy Love" ad not only won the hearts of viewers of Super Bowl 2014, it generated the most shares across the internet – an incredible 1.31 million according to Unruly. That's 1 million shares more than the ad in second place, which also belongs to Budweiser. The feelgood ad is currently the sixth most shared Super Bowl ad of all time (at time of writing).

Budweiser did very well in this year's chart, with 3 spots in the top 10. The brand also notched-up 75 national U.S. TV appearances and 1200 local U.S. TV appearances for "Puppy Love" before the big game, earning it the most television coverage out of all the Super Bowl ads. It was also the second most broadcast ad outside the US with 236 spots.

It’s the second year in a row that Budweiser has taken top spot for the most shared ad. Last year, “Brotherhood” was the third most shared Super Bowl ad of all time, racking up 1.5 million shares by Super Bowl Monday. It has since generated 2.84 million shares (although it seems to have disappeared from the Budweiser YouTube channel…..copyright issues?)
