The Day In Online Video News And Views 19th November 2013

We touched on the subject of fake YouTube views earlier this week and now the site has come right out and said that they will discount any views found to be generated by third-party services and will come down hard on channels that have been found to have bought views. Spammers beware.

YouTube rival Vimeo has confirmed that they have passed the 100 million user milestone. That's about 1/10th of YouTube's user base plateau. Vimeo also has around 400,000 paying subscribers and made $40 million in revenue over the past 12 months. These stories and others in our daily news round-up.

Are you going to be allowing video embeds as part of your commenting?

Frank – I believe that you can either embed, or post a link to a youtube video inside here and it will show. Gonna test – http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=UUPLAYER_reelseo&v=jlN2uD7OJf4&feature=player_embedded#t=0
