ZEODIA (reader submission) - Only does photos to video

ZEODIA, founded in early 2009, is more than a slideshow creator, it's an online Video editor which allows users to create movies from any group of static pictures and turn them into a video. This leaves the user with a stunning and dynamic photo book, photo album, or scrapbooks that can be shared on Facebook, Which Online Video Editing Software Solution Is The Right One For You?Youtube, Twitter or even via email.

What differentiates Zeodia from its competitors is that it offers more than simple slide shows. It has an enhanced sophisticated technology which allows it's users more flexibility when uploading and editing their videos. This includes offering two types of video editors: simple and professional. This diversity allows users to control the play duration of each picture, as well as choose which effects, backgrounds and transitions take place between pictures. Another differentiating feature to Zeodia is that it is a profile based website. This allows users the ability to create their individual portfolio as well as share them easily with in different social media platforms as well as the Zeodia platform itself.

Magisto (reader submission)

Magisto is an automatic video editing solution.  Currently it's available as a web app at Magisto.com as well as a free iPhone app.  They've also partnered with YouTube and users can create videos directly via YouTube Create.Which Online Video Editing Software Solution Is The Right One For You?

The idea is that it takes the work out of video editing by letting users upload their video footage, choose a title and a soundtrack and then sit back while Magisto edits their video for them.  Magisto's algorithm is designed to analyze the footage to determine the best parts and then edits those parts together with effects and transitions to make a video that would take hours if users created them on their own.

Magisto is free to use and videos are hosted on the site, although they do have a premium download feature.  Users can download videos for $0.99-$2.99 (depending on the quality) to get a non-branded downloadable version of their clip.

Final Notes

I'll keep taking emails and suggestions for online video editing suites. Feel free to drop me an email at crick at reelseo.com with the pertinent details and we'll get it added on.

Good list on web based tools for video editing. I use a service called Candidio (www.candidio.com) that does the same of some of the above tools, except they actually edit the footage for you. Along with adding in a graphics package its a great way to get professional quality online video without having to know, or spend time, editing video.

Thanks for the list of Online Video Editors... eventually I think this method will take over, if we can get past the upload delay of getting the raw footage to the editor (we usually need to upload more than we need).

What a pity none of the web-app above (except YouTube editor of course) is able to import videos straight from YouTube.

www.stupeflix.com is also a good video editor.
