Online Video Advertising In Russia To Total $3.5M This Year
For the first half of this year, online video ad spending in Russia totaled more than 30 million rubles, roughly equal to $1.2 million USD in revenue according to the Aegis Group's AdWatch.
In addition, the online video ad market in Russia is predicted in total for 2008 to reach 87 million rubles, which is equal to more than $3.5 million dollars (USD). What is interesting is that this apparently accounts for less than even 1% of the total spend for Russian online advertising for 2008. That spells opportunity..

50% of the spend so far has been for video banner advertising. Other online video ad formats included in-stream video ads, pre- and post-roll, in-video banner ads, video player branding, and online video ad product placement.
