Andy Plesser at Beet.tv interviewed AOL Video chief Fred McIntyre regarding the factors leading to this growth. Here's what he told Andy this afternoon:
"2007 was a banner year for AOL Video. We're currently the only major online video portal to offer free, streaming content from all four major TV networks and that was a big factor in the increase in traffic. Another contributing factor was our Truveo-powered video search. In 2007, we saw video search usage surge as more and more videos became available online."-- Fred McIntyre - Senior Vice President, AOL Video, AOL Radio & Winamp
