Nintendo Entertainment System FINALLY Gets Google Maps

Google is the best of all innovators in the world and today they've proven it once again, they've brought Google Maps to the 8-bit classic gaming console the Nintendo Entertainment System. All praise Nintendo Power!

Have you ever been lost in Zelda and wished you could just load up a map app to find your way? Been skulking about the Mushroom worlds looking for a princess only to realize you've lost your way? Well worry no longer my directionally-challenged friends, Google is here to save you.

Google Maps is now available for 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment Systems (NES). Availability in Google Store is TBD but you can try it on your browser by going to http://maps.google.com and clicking "Quest" in the upper right hand corner of the map.

Look, you can even quest your way to my hood and try to wrest the Quill of Tomfoolery from me if you believe yourselves worthy... I've given you the hint below, now all you need do is find me, find my weakness and then steal the Quill. Come on, I dare you.

Bazinga!

Clearly, it's April Fool's Day and this was Google's addition to the world's pranks today. It's clever, I love it, as one might imagine being a lifelong gamer and current owner of Gamers Daily News.

If you really want the Quill of Tomfoolery, let me know and I'll send you an official Quest request  [smiles evilly].
