New - Video Sharing in Real-Time - SeeToo Beta

Written November 24, 2007 – 8:54 pm | by Mark Robertson |

SeeToo

SeeToo is a new multimedia sharing service that allows you to invite your friends to watch videos, listen to music, or view pictures privately through the web browser. This is the first video sharing service I know of that enables users to share video files of any size with their friends in real-time. In addition, you can chat with your friend about the video as it is playing. This would be a great service for video producers to showcase content and get feedback prior to publishing.

SeeToo is currently still in Beta and there is limited beta registration. The company plans to launch a public beta by the end of the year.

Click here to apply as a beta tester and let ReelSEO know what you think in the comments section below.

SeeToo supports the following multimedia formats:

  • Video files (.mpg, .mpeg, .avi, .mov, .3gp, .flv, .mp4)
  • Audio files (.mp3)
  • Image files (.jpg, .jpeg, .bmp)

The process is quite simple. First, all you do is install a client, then choose a video or multimedia file from your computer. Then you are provided with a link to send to a friend and start sharing the video. When the friend views the link, they will see your video streaming at the same time that you do. According to SeeToo, they do not keep your files and videos are streamed directly from your computer to your friend’s so that the video sharing is private.
