Magnify Launches Self-Service CDN for SMBs
According to the Magnify.net blog this morning, Magnify has launched a new self-service CDN focused primarily towards small and medium sized businesses.
This new offering, dubbed, Magnify Pro, provides customers with access to Magnify.net's VP6 encoding infrastructure and serves video files from their secure Amazon S3 account.
The service starts as little as $25/mo and there are several other plans to choose from. You can take a look at the various pricing options here.
With this new CDN offering, Magnify is essentially targeting small-to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and offering them a self-provisioning tool whereby they can publish and control their own content and brand. It will remain to be seen if self-service is something that SMBs are ready to utilize or if they will require more hand-holding. Clearly some self-starters will gravitate towards this option and certainly, more advertisers will adopty and embrace this tool as they become aware of both the power of online video, as well as the options available to them.
