ReelSEO.com is a proud media sponsor of the Kelsey Group's Interactive Local Media 2008 conference happening this week, Nov. 19th-21st at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, California.
While the conference doesn't focus completely on search engine optimization or internet video, it does have some interesting sessions that pertain to local online video and video marketing for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs).
Recent findings from The Kelsey Group's Local Commerce Monitor study reveal that 26% of SMBs plan to take advantage of online video on their Web sites in the next year.
"Our research indicates that SMBs are maintaining their ad spending levels, even in a challenging economic climate," said Matt Booth, senior vice president and program director, Interactive Local Media, The Kelsey Group. "At ILM:08 we'll take a close look at where those ad dollars are being spent and which traditional and new media players are well-positioned to serve the needs of local advertisers."
The first of these sessions of interest happens on the second day. The SuperForum II: Local Video/Out-of-Home Explosion looks at the small to medium-sized business use of video online and includes information sessions, how-to's and where to place your video both online and offline to target your desired demographic. The SuperForum II will feature some big names in several areas and include Glenn Pingul, Product VP at Mixpo, Jon Rosen Local Marketing Services VP at Spot Runner, Brad Inman, founder and CEO if TurnHere, and more.
The SuperForum II is broken into multiple parts including:
• The SMB Video Opportunity
• Keynote: Brad Inman, Founder and CEO, TurnHere
• Video Production and Distribution
• Video Sales Strategies & Techniques
• Out-of-Home – Focusing on video advertising targeting people outside of the home
The session promises to give you some new insight into how video can be produced and used in strategic ways to maximize the return on investment with particular focus on targeting people when they are on the road, in the café or generally doing something outside of the home.
The second session of particular interest to video creators and online marketers happens on the third day of the conference and wraps up the entire conference - Parting Thoughts From Silicon Valley Leads on Local/Video/Mobile. Here, leading experts across the board will give their views on what will be happening three years from now in regards to local, mobile, search and video. Speakers include Frank Bell, Principal, IT Strategists, Jennifer Dulski, CEO, Center'd and more.
