Google News Videos: Google News Blog Announcement

Google announced today on the Google News Blog that they will be embedding videos within Google News search results from several different sources.

Currently, Google News syndicates videos from CBS, Reuters, and a number of Hearst Broadcast stations and uses YouTube’s player interface to display these news videos in the Google News search results. Google says they will continue to add video news sources in the future.

I imagine that the next logical step is for these results to become part of Google’s regular search results.  This is the goal of Google’s Universal Search initiatives…

Of course, I tried to find this video and had no luck but I am sure we will start to see these soon enough….
