Free Tool Converts Video Files Into Executables
Have you ever wanted to send a multimedia audio or video file to a friend, but had no idea whether or not your friend has the proper codecs to watch your video? I found a neat little tool that lets you easily turn your video file, directly into an executable video file.
Autio/Video to EXE is a free utility that simply takes video or audio files and turns them into exe files that are easily played on a PC, standalone. Unfortunately, there are no controls at all, not even to pause or rewind, but it is a nice little tool to make any media playable on a PC without needing proper audio or video codecs.
Currently the program supports almost all audio/video formats [3GP, AAC, AC3, AIFF, ASF, AVI, EXE, FLAC, FLV, GIF, M1V, M2V, M4V, MOV, MP2, MP3, MP4, MPC, MPG, NUT, OGG, RA, RM, SWF, VOB, VOC, WAV, WMA, WMV, WV, YUV]. It works standalone.
Audio/Video to Exe is available as a free download here.
