Please give a warm welcome to Ryan Connolly, filmmaker and professional idiot (his words)....

Ryan Connolly and Film Riot

ReelSEO: What are the best tips and tricks for video marketers and content creators on YouTube?

Ryan Connolly: Behind the Reel with the Man Behind Film Riot [Interview] Ryan Connolly: My top tip is to just love what you do and be passionate about it. Everything else will follow suit. You might not be hitting the highest professional standards that you want to right now, but if you keep doing what you are doing and you love and are passionate about the subject then you'll get there. Also, authenticity is everything, and if you aren't actually in love with the thing you are talking about people will see right through that. Projects created just for views, or just for many can often be very damaging in the long term.

ReelSEO: Are there any emerging trends you plan to capitalize on this year?

Ryan Connolly: Behind the Reel with the Man Behind Film Riot [Interview] Ryan Connolly: I don't really follow the trends as I tend to go off what I'm really passionate about and that I personally love. I make things that I want to watch and that I have to make. I don't make videos just for views, and I think that's a smart way to operate. However I do see a trend towards more story-telling rather than in just visual effects.

That's it for this episode of 'Behind The Reel'. A huge thank you to Ryan for his time and our viewers for watching. You can subscribe to the Film Riot YouTube Channel below:
