Amazon Studios is staking a strong claim for their place in the VoD market with the launch of two new original content series on the platform later this month. But they won't be following the Netflix model of uploading all the episodes at once, despite a growing trend for the audience to binge watch their favourite shows in one go. The new shows, 'Alpha House' and 'Betas', will premiere with the release of the first three episodes of each, after that it's one show a week until the end of the run. Amazon Studios director Roy Price thinks that uploading an entire series at once makes social media engagement much harder after the initial push.
That quintessentially British (but Indian owned) brand, Jaguar, are entering the Super Bowl ad fray with their first TV spot ever for the 2014 big game. The commercial, for the F-type Coupe, will come with an integrated social media campaign both before and after and will feature some well known British actors.
