The Day In Online Video News And Views 7th November 2013

Disney are producing four original live-action series for Netflix featuring some lesser known (at the moment) Marvel characters like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. It's a vote of confidence for the VoD company after Disney let it be known that they were open to distribution on other platforms. The Marvel series will debut in 2015, with 13 episodes per superhero, culminating in a "mini series event" that will bring them all together. It will be set in Hell's Kitchen, New York, and each of the character's stories will unfold over several years. It's pretty big news for both companies.

It's official, teens love YouTube even more than they do Facebook and Twitter. Of the 4,000 teen users interviewed, 50% confirmed that YouTube was their favourite site, with Facebook at 45% and Amazon at 30%. These stories and more in today's round up of news from online videoland.
