ComScore June 2013 Online Video Rankings: Ad Views Have More than Doubled Since January

ComScore released their June 2013 Online Video Rankings today.  Americans watched nearly 45 billion videos in June, topping last month by over 5 billion.  Ad views, which have been seeing an incredible surge all year, blasted off to an incredible 20 billion.  Keep in mind, that only this past January, we watched 9 billion ads.  That means ad views have more than doubled, and they reach over 53 percent of the population.

First off, here's the top 10 video sites measured in unique viewers.  You'll see virtually no difference here between this month and last.  NDN and Microsoft Sites continue to jockey between 5th and 6th, while Yahoo! and Viacom switch places in 7th and 8th, respectively.

The minutes-per-viewer is the most since October of last year.

Onto the ads.  As mentioned before, ads went crazy again this month, increasing a total of 23 percent to over 20 million ads viewed.  Viewers now see 121 ads a month.  In June, Google took over the #1 spot again (after being topped by Brightroll in May) in the category of total number of ads served with over 3 billion.  Liverail also offered a ton of ads and became the #2 provider in ad properties last month.  These are the same top 10 as last month only they're all practically in different positions.  Hulu continues to serve more ads per viewer than any competitor.

On to the networks.  Virtually no change here, except E! Entertainment Television knocks Sony BMG out of the 10th spot.  Fullscreen continues to be the #1 independent network, with VEVO continuing to be #1 overall:
