The folks over at an unofficial Google blog called Google Operating System have found a new layout being tested out by YouTube that aligns the video in the center while taking other options elsewhere.  The guide slides from the left side of the page like a pull-out menu and all of the channel controls like the Dashboard have been moved to the upper right corner.  I'm not seeing it on my end, but here's a video from Nedas Petravičius showing the new layout:

Could be something for the future, but as we all know, Google are a bunch of mad-tinkering fools, and they are probably just testing this and seeing how people react to it, whether it increases watch time, the usual.
