I just came across a press release from blinkx today titled, "blinkx Advances Lead in Video Search, Surpasses New Milestone With Over 18 Million Hours of Content and More Than 220 Media Partnerships." It appears at least that this could have been released just prior to the market opening today where blinkx announced dissapointing news to the market, reporting heavy losses since demerging from Autonomy.
Here are some of the statistics released:
- Searches per day have grown 280% to more than 4 Million video search queries per day.
- 18,000,000, that is 18 Billion hours of indexed multimedia audio and video content
- 220 Media partnerships solidified.
- New big-brand advertisers for blinkx adhoc network – Nokia, ABC, GM, BestBuy…
