Watch This Bentley Ad, Shot on iPhone 5S, Edited on iPad Air

When it comes to luxury cars, Bentley is right up there with icons such as Aston Martin and Jaguar, so it's a surprise to see how budget-conscious innovative the brand was when it came to producing its documentary video for the company. The entire project was filmed using an iPhone 5S and the footage was edited using iPad Air and iMovie. The ad, Intelligent Details, is a beautifully shot look at the design team behind the Bentley name, using its $300,000 Mulsanne as a backdrop. Towards the end of the clip, we are given access to some behind-the-scenes footage of the filming and post-production.

The film crew used an iPhone 5S to film throughout, but with the technical support of various gubbins such as mounts, dollies and lenses to capture the most professional images. Post-production took place on the iPad Air and the iMovie app, in the Bentley itself. You can you the full video above, or if you are just interested in how it was made, the action starts at 3:16.

It's a fantastic advertisement for the performance of Apple products in video production, and a talking point for Bentley.

    Great concept… Still those rigs wouldn't of been too cheap! Be interesting to see if there was a big difference in quality if it was shot with a Galaxy Note 3 in 4K and edited on a Samsung tablet..
